1. Overview
At Sweatrope™, we are committed to providing premium quality hair care products and excellent customer service.
This Refund & Returns Policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa and outlines your rights as a customer and our obligations as a supplier.
By purchasing from our store, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. 30-Day Return Policy
We offer a 30-Day Return Policy from the date your order is delivered.
Within 30 days, customers may request a return or refund if the following conditions are met:

The product is unopened

The product is in original packaging

The product is in resellable condition
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
3. Hygiene & Safety Policy
Due to the hygienic nature of hair and personal care products:
Opened or used products cannot be returned or refunded unless they are defective, damaged, or incorrect.
This policy protects all customers and maintains strict hygiene standards.
Sweatrope™ reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet hygiene requirements.
4. Defective or Damaged Products (CPA Section 56)
Under South African law, all products carry a 6-month implied warranty.
If your item is:

Not working as intended

Incorrect item received
You are entitled within 6 months of delivery to choose one of the following:

Repair

Replacement

Refund
The choice is the customer’s right under the CPA, provided the issue is genuine and not caused by misuse.
We may request:

Clear photos or videos

Batch number
-
Proof of purchase
before processing your request.
5. Incorrect Orders
If you receive the wrong product:

Notify us within 48 hours of delivery

The product must be unused and in original packaging
We will cover the return shipping cost and send the correct item or issue a refund.
6. Direct Marketing Cooling-Off Period (CPA Section 16)
If your purchase resulted from direct marketing (email, SMS, influencer promotion, etc.), you have the legal right to cancel within 5 business days of receiving the product.

7. Items Not Eligible for Return
Returns will not be accepted for:

8. Refund Processing
Once your return is approved and received:

Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days

Refunds are issued to the original payment method
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Sweatrope™ reserves the right to deduct reasonable costs if items are returned damaged or used.
9. Exchanges
We replace items only if they are defective or incorrect.

11. Delivery & Risk
Risk passes to the customer once the parcel is confirmed as delivered by the courier.

12. Abuse & Fraud Protection
Sweatrope™ reserves the right to refuse refunds or returns where:

Excessive return patterns occur

Products appear to have been used beyond reasonable testing
